If the Eldar codex was a picnic basket?

    OK,

I've been thinking, we're needing some originality in the old Eldar forum, because I can't take another wraithlord is cheese argument, I've decided, to try something more fun...

In the eldar codex there are several units, if by some huge gaff on the part of a farseer he cast a spell turning his men into items of food and drink, what would each unit be?

I'll start you all off because I know whats coming on post number 2-109 if I don't say it...

Moron: "The wraithlord could be a big block of cheese arf arf arf aren't I so witty"
    Mather: "No, really you aren't"

So as for my first choice i'd say howling banchees are like lychees becasue the name sounds similar... howling Lychees.... I like it, either that or a fine Red wine, not very subtle but when used right, it's oh-so sweet.

So there you have it Eldar-Food/Drink topic starts in...

Ummm. He doesn't say a picnic basket of Eldar, but what would be the foof equivalent of each unit.

As for me, probably fairly standard, but I think that Fire Dragons would be Chilli Con Carne. Hot, Spicy. And they go right through me.

Lychees are an asian fruit. Think an pearlike flesh, with a refreshing appley flavour.

EDIT: For below. Anyone who doesn't know what marmite is, substitute vegemite. If you don't know what vegemite is either, think brown/black thick paste. Very salty, made from what you get leftover after making beer. Is extremely high in Vitamin B. Mar-/Vege- mite is one of the items which English/Australian embassies stock for expatriots, because they are usually hard to find outside of the country of origin, and approach addiction for those who like them. I am one of those, I love vegemite.

Fire Dragons = spicy kabana, goes well with cheese

Jetbikes = celery sticks (as in, no one ever touches them)

S Spears = brussel sprouts (as in, NO ONE ever touches them)

Harliquins = M&Ms. Lots of different colours, and sweeeeet...

Solitaire = piece of Chocolate cake (you can only ever have one)

Seer Council = Boiled sweets (Hard Rock candy for those in the US)..they just keep sticking around

Wraithlord = Bottle of Vodka (any more than one of these will ruin your day)

Guardian Squad = Chips - they all look the same

Black Guardian Squad = Corn Chips - like Chips, only better

Warlock = Dips - goes well with Chips

    Well, that's my attempt....

    Sounds about right.

Vegemite is pretty good for Warp Spiders too. (As they end up in a similar paste if they fail their Warp roll)

Swooping Hawks? hmmm...Maybe like Grapefruit? Sweet, yet bitter.

Howling Banshees and Striking Scorpians = Wine and Beer, respectively. You either like one, or the other. For me, HBs are the fine wine, best served on special occasions. The SS are good for most occasions.

Avatar = Vanilla Icecream. Ice Ice baby....na na na na naaaa....Ice Ice baby....Ok, I'll stop. Basically, he thinks he's sooo cool, but he melts very easily.

Scouts = Tacos. Very irritating to eat.

Pathfinders = Escargot (Snails!). MOST irritating.

Dark reapers = Vindaloo or Hot Curry. Rips right through you.

    Cheers,

    zenBoy
