    thinking about starting eldar!!!

Hey im interested in starting to play eldar.. ive never played warhammer4000 before and would like some advice on what units to get.

So far im interested in the 1 Eldar Seer Council, 2 Eldar Rangers sets, Eldar Wraithlord and 16 Guardian Defenders. Im not too sure on how i should put my army together and what units work well together.

Any ideas would be great but i would like to only spend arond $250 to start up and see how things go.

    Thnaks

I'd spend 20 on the codex, 10 on the craft world codex, then 10 more on the eye of terror codex, read them, and call us in the morning.

Short of that, what sort of army do you want, what armies do you play, what kind of terrain? You need to keep all these things in mind if you want an effective army.

If your just making it for painting, then get one of each choice.

Total 197 men, 12 tanks, 4 Heavy Artillery Pieces

Well then I'd say answer the second question. If you want everything that is in the box, buy it. Otherwise buy seperatly, it doesn't really matter.

Buying the box does save you alot of money, especialy here in the UK where £50 boxes now come with £75 of goodies.

The Eldar Battleforce is all good except for the jetbikes, you can see them as a bonus as you save money buying it anyway. It's all up to you, you should read the codex, read the articles and posts here on LO and figure out as much as possible by yourself. Also study the Warhammer 40k rules in order to know what's good.
