OK not gonna ut up a whole battle report, but saturday I dusted off my Saim Hann, lent my brother in law my marines and we went to the local club and had a set too, by the end of turn 4 he had an imobilsed dreadnaught with its main weapon destroyed and a wounded chaplain, he was trying to get to a wild rider chief, a shuriken cannon jet bike and 2 vypers, needless to say he resigned!
comeon, we need the context. Howbig a battle? What Mission?Originally Posted by Cheredanine

Sadly enough,I'm going to dust my smurfs off and give them 1-3 games before resigning them to deep dust again.
WEll it was 1000 points on a 4ft by 6 ft table, I actually had about 900 points, but it was only his second game, I had leant him my sons of medusa, My 1000 point marine army has never been beaten at the club, even when my 10 year old took on one of the adults!
he played them reasonably solidly too, and the fact he was new meant that standard Saim hann tricks were less effective as he had no preconceptions, plus I was explaining to him and teaching him so I pointed out when he forgot to fire units or tried to assult before finishing his moves, plus pointed out what fire priorities were relevent. However, the funy bit was at the end, with 2 fast skimmers and 2 jet bikes and he had an imobailised walker and foot sloggin assault specialist, he was never gonna catch them
