Not sure if this is 100% allowed though i really need to know by tomorrow lol
Anyway, could someone explain what the beast rule is? I dont have the rulebook where i am at the moment, and i have a feeling the beast rule means the unit can fleet of foot or charge 12" or a combination of both
So does anyone who knows correct me please?
Asking for rules on this site is prohibited...
Heretic, you've got it correct - beasts get both the fleet and the long charge distance. But you should not ask for rules to be posted here.
Harbish, you could at least have cleared it up for him while you were telling him off. He just needed confirmation.
Ah didn't think i was allowed my bad sorry
Though i didn't ask for the rules direct, i posted my thoughts on the rules and asked if someone could correct them for me, was being sneaky
And thanks, i knew it was something like that
Also another quick question, lol, in the Tyranid rulebook i carn't find anywhere where it says Warriors are Beasts, is this true? As i was wanting to take Leaping on some of me CC Warriors and found the wording that they wouldn't get the beasts rule because of it, which baffled me as i tought they were already beasts
No, Warriors are not beasts. It would be listed under their special rule if they were, like the Raveners entry. Perhaps you misread the Leader-Beasts title under their special rules?
Leaping will give them the increased charge and close combat range but they can't get fleet of claw.
Just a friendly reminder.
Asking for rules is prohibited, but not asking for rules clarification which I see this topic as, so no harm done.
Righto sorry, I thought all rules talk was banned, my mistake.
everyones right. You get all the leaping abilities, just not the beast abilities, even though said warriors are considered leaping in the 40k rulebook. I think as playtesting went on GW somehow came to the conclusion allowing our warriors to keep up with our gaunts for synapse purposes (in long games or big tables) was too powerful, and that we should be forced to revolve our synapse webbing around the Hive Tyrant and Broodlord (Zoans cant keep up either).
It kinda sucks. For a couple months i loved rolling FOC for warriors and shooting 4 shots with my 2vc fex. Ah well.
Yeah i liked to keep my Warriors up with my gaunts
Also a few more questions just to clear a few things up, when buying 2 venom cannons for a fex, does that make it twin linked? or does he get to use 2 venom cannons? as i see a few people putting Twin Linked Venomcannons on their army lists, and i dont understand where they get this from.
I also came up with a sneaky plan half way through a game i was involved in the other day, i had my units of gaunts hidden behind some area terrain, and i moved my synapse creatures out of range of them, so they failed ther Ld tests and ran towards nearest synapse creature 3d6, ignoring terrain aswell as i was told, in total they ran 14", thus getting into the synapse range of me winged tyrant, so they rallied
My opponent shocked completely by what happened had a massive go at me about it, calling me all these dodgy names :p like cheesey, beardy, rule bender etc etc
Though the staff member who we consulted this with said it was perfectly fine, though i would get a slap for doing it again lol
Can that be done? as it did look very iffy to me, and didn't make much sense when i came round to doing it, anyone clear that up for me?
1 Twin Linked VC not 2.Also a few more questions just to clear a few things up, when buying 2 venom cannons for a fex, does that make it twin linked? or does he get to use 2 venom cannons? as i see a few people putting Twin Linked Venomcannons on their army lists, and i dont understand where they get this from.
Dreams give us a vision of a world unlike any we have seen. They present us with a glimpse of a better life; a goal to aspire to, and in the face of insurmountable odds, they provide us with the power to overcome, to live on, and to succeed where we would have otherwise failed.
