Under the Ork codex, under Lootas, it says
"Lootas are allowed to use the options of one of the following squad types as detailed in the army lists in the Warhammer 40k Rulebook"
Now, what is clear is that they can pick something like a Devastator Squad, and buy weapons just like Devastors do
What isn't clear is...
If such an agreed upon squad has access to a TRANSPORT option, can Lootas purchase that and use it as a transport? I'm not sure if any of the special weapons squads for the races do have a transport option.
I don't see anything in the codex that says they can't.
But there's nothing that says they can either
Well, when i read my codex under the example it says "You might choose to use the weapon options for an imperial guard..."
If you really wanted to put them in a vehicle you could look a squadrun uv dah chimeraz.
in the FAQ it says that you can, and theat they dont count as a looted vehicle option either.
Mm nice find...
Not sure if you could put it to real use. Perhaps you could make an armored fist-esq squad of some sorts out of em?
that would be dumb...not opentopped so they can;t assault. just use trucks. but you can use them as shields for your units(thats orky) or take razorbacks for the weapons. I take the twin lascannons or hvy bolters, just for fire support.
You kill my idea and say "Use razorbacks for fire-support" Umm... Sure whatever man.
our better off with some buggyz with twin linked whatevers. They probably survive longer and do more damage to boot.
Besides, whats cooler than a squadrun of lootaz killing an armored fist squad and stealing their weapons and tank! Think of it, put em next to your big gunz and looted bassalisk and use em as a deep striker deterrent and extra firesupport!
but that would be a waste of, points and boyz. a razorback would provide some extra fire if you are gonna loot marines, and evenwith orks a twin lascannon can hit.
too bad orks can't take drop pods for space marines. just a roc with holes and guns.
