In the older rule book I have (dont have the Ork codex yet) It says that orks strength is 3... since its the old rule book, I think this is wrong?? Is it 3 or 4? Because 3 doesent look right for an ork...
It hasnt been changed.
But I do agree, the models look very strong, a basic shoota boy has some seriously overarms, but then again, look at the vehicle crews... it seems the ork models are all unbalanced, in one way or the other.
Maybe this would answer your question, and I don't see how I could get in trouble by a mod because this has been a popular topic in the past. I believe basic orks should have strength 4, but they do not. I do believe it works itself out because it is shown by having more attacks than a standard soldier.
Orks muscularature shows in their toughness, and their ferocious amount of attacks for a base troops. A strength of 4 would be a little imbalanced unless they were a point or two higher.
It is also accaounted for in their better than average weapon skill.
