Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi guys I saw an amazing conversion on dakka dakka and had to do my own....
This will be the hive tyrant for inquisitor nodels force. Over the next 2 weeks ill be working on him and posting more WIP picks. So far ive just put together the plastic components. The arm sockets that i havnt filled yet are going to have wings (green stuffed in) or laswhips (and wings built onto the back) I cant deceide yet, which do you guys think?
Anyway the block its on is a nice big bit of stone (this is eventually going to be half draped in greenstuff (a fallen purple curtain) and painted with the imperial eagle.
As far as green stuff work i need to do, well the entire back needs a new carapace sculpting as the plates are currently backwards.
Im going to sculpt a ALIEN esque tonge onto the acid maw, and the head carapace is going to be extended over the eyes.
But anyway this is the first pick, ll post another one tomorrow of initial greenstuff work.
What do you guys think so far?

A lot of veteran modellers have begun to use the new fex model for afr more different aspects.
afr? And yes i know my model isnt original but is it a good start? and what do you think of my plans.
I hear there is something wrong with the mold. not a big problem but the carapace on the back is alittle off.
Looks cool but the horn on its head looks alittle weird.
I was thinkin of makin mine like a spider but I dont have enough talons.
Afr= far I think.

It looks weird... It looks more like a carnifex than a tyrant so it couldnt pass for both of them.
Did you use any of the new hive tyrant bits?

Well i removed he spike (I didnt like it either).
No its al carnifex.
Yeah at the moment I havnt done any real converting, once its got wings and the carapace etc is properly done it should look more like a tyrant. that and i think im gonna take the head out again and make it more like a zoanthrope (add some psychic potential.
Anyway tomorrow ill put up pick of it with some more base work and back work done.
Im still iffy on my wings though, the will break or make th model depending upon how well i do them.
Its not actually meant to be dual perpose and is only going to be used as a Tyrant. I dont want it looking like both.
Your right on the mould there is a bit where its slightly off and I do have to do some filling, but its minor.
Fianally as with the rest of Inquisitor nodels army I need to make it look slightly imperial, other than the obligatory big =][= painted on its back and lots of purity seals any other ideas on how to make it look "tammed"
Did you make the wings or buy them. Cant wait to see the pic(s).
BTW I stink at GSing so I got my freind to do it but there was alot of gapidge.

Not 100% sure on this conversion as its hard to make out what it is, as a stand alone nid its cool like a small titan, I put together some bits even smaller than that a while ago I will have to take a picture. On th whole my conversion are small things as i don't have the money to spend on converting a big nid, i would rather add to my force plus the time it takes i would rather battle. Having said that looking at other models on here makes me think it may be time to start as you guys get some cool looking models and i do like this one can wait to see the next stage.
P.s this is for all converters, when you guys convert your models do you just do it for the look or do you work out what you want on the model points wise than biuld to that ?

If it lives it will be consumed
this is looking ok so far, but the talon legs look very puney... on warpshadow.com, opne member cut the armour plates off the back with a sa and then glued them on the other way around, so he did't have to re-sculpt them, you might want to try this...
and nottoc, whenever i convert a model, i mainly do it for looks but make sure it's leegal to use while doing so, so it may not be the most effective model game-wise, but at least it looks cool!.
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
Not sure about the other guys, but I do it for looks. But then again, the only thing I've ever created through conversions is a t-guard... still working on my second one....
