Quick question, and I looked on the other Spore Mine threads for the answer to my question but didn't find it.
Can you deepstrike the cluster of mines right into a squad and have them all 3 detonate? Or do you have to follow normal deepstrike rules and try to get them as close as possible without deepstriking into the actual squad itself?
as far as i remember...... they follow all normal rules for deepstriking. i dont remember reading any special rules about them.
I love fielding 10,000 points per-player. DECOS all the way baby.
Nurgle Demonic Legion: 19W-3L-5T.
Tyranid All Shooty List: 10W-5L-6T
Is it too much when you can field 20k in fantasy?
If the spore mine is destroyed it detonates... period. Therefor even following the normal deepstrike rules (with being destroyed if landing within 1" of an enemy) it still detonates.
It has been debated a little but the general consensus is that you can deep strike them on top of enemy units and have them detonate. That is what GW intended them to do even though the written rules aren't always clear.
I just like using three mines as three separate fast attck choices. that way I can deal a very nasty surprise to my opponent. But I don't think you should be able to d. strike spores onto enemy units, it is clearly unfair to the other player.
What's the point if you can't drop them into a squad. They would just fire at them if they didn't land on them.Originally Posted by Tyranidude
They're mines. It would be stupid if they didn't explode when the enemy tears them apart.

I know, I was just wanting to make sure. Be 100% on knowing my army.
Actually, I was looking thru the dex again and have got another question.
When using them as clusters, what slot does that take up? I looked in the dex but didn't see it? And how many clusters can you take? Do clusters count as heavy? And if so, how many clusters can you have for one heavy slot? I just don't think they made clusters clear, or I'm retarded.
Um, Loestal, check the Fast Attack choices, again. Sorry.Originally Posted by Loestal
