Is the Monolith the best tank? Or is it just the most resiliance one? I heard that by far, the Hellhound is the best tank in the game, even with it's low armor.
*Shrugs* I certainly respect the Monolith. One of the toughest tanks around with multiple weaponry, and un-godly amouny of possible shots, tons of tactical options/uses. It's great.
Of course, I have heard time and time again how great the Hammerhead is.
And how great the Hellhound is, and how great the etc. etc.
Sig by:Knape, The Celestial, and Marlinspike, thanks guys!
Personally, I love the Wartrukk.
WHAT? Who doesn't like red paint jobs??
I am forced to agree with the wartruck.
Cheap in points, fast and open topped. Gets the job done, don't it?
Not as well as a nice Railgun Solid Shot.Originally Posted by Marlinspike

Blood for the Blood God! Beer for the Bronze Keg!
I think its the Basilisk. Cheap, Long Range, Indirect, and kills pretty much anything with a 3+ or worse save
/me rolls a six
Hah! extra armour!
I think trying to find a "best" tank is pretty stupid.
The hammerhead is nice, but a solid shot won't do much except against big expensive models
lith can't hurt the big expensive models but eats through light infantry and the teleporting thing is seriously annoying
the falcon is the most or the second most resiliant tank in the game depending on which race you're facing
The wartrukk is fast, cheap and effective
The hell hound is cheap, and even though it has bad armor, its flamer is scary. However, it is more expensive than the immolator, which has the same gun
Point is, trying to think of a "best" tank is a pretty stupid idea.

Don't you love ork philosophy where they paint the trukk red they believe the trukk goes fasta. And some extra armor can deflect any shot (except ordinance (so no blocking the bassy)) they want. My vote goes for the trukk. For 1 supped up hammerhead I can get about 5-6 trukks.
To go beyond even the simply, humble wartrukk, I would suggest the wartrakk. For a little under 50 points I can have a fast moving vehicle that zips around an extra 1", repairs its damaged wheels on a 4+, a death-dealing skorcha, and has a 6+ armour save against anything but ordance.
The Landraider and the Monolith are both excellent vehicles, but they are also really, really expensive. The dirt-cheap stuff is often times the best, in my opinion. Mostly because I've discovered that the more models you have, the better.
Besides, there's nothing more satisfying then taking out a Leman Russ with your twin-linked rokkit launcha. ^_^
