Hey guys, I've red the heated discussion about the shoota boys being worth it and not worth, and I've grown attracted to a shooting ork army.
For 1 more point, huntas get the BS of 3, and the few amount of big shootas is compensated statistically, but not burnas.
Would you guys think an army based around them make up a better fighting chance with heavy shooting?
Sacrificing 1 attack and 1 WS for +1 BS is a good deal for a shooty ork unit. Pretty tough with some powerful assault guns.
I also thought about the Bad moons, the Flash Gitz can put on quite a light show with the More Dakka upgrade, and get mekboyz for each unit with force fields this would make them a bit resilient?
Also they would be really fluffy, and underplayed too ^_^
Actually, I'd go for Speed Freeks w/Kroot Allies. The Kroot provide numbers and massed BS 3 firepower, while the Orks provide the heavy weaponry in the form of Buggies (either Rokkit or Skorcha depending on tastes. Guntrukks (either Lobba or Zzap depending on previous choice, a Battlewagon/Leman Russ, etc.
I've always wanted to do an Ork army based off the Germans in WWII, equipping them with Stalhelms and MP40s, and using hobby vehicles for the army.
