To keep my gaunts in range of synapse in my combat patrol force i ned my Warriors to move quickly around the field.Whats better wings or leaping?
Thanks in advance.
Honestly, nothing can keep up with Guants quite like Winged Warriors. This is my favorite choice. However, if you don't mind moving a little slower than your gaunts (And probably slowing you gaunts down a bit in the process) then leaping should be fine.
One good thing about leaping is that you can slap some Extended Carapace armor on them and survive for a bit out in the open. Winged Warriors tend to die quickly if they expose themselves too much.
I am fond of the winged tyrant and leaping warriors. Your gaunts charge from teh warriors synapse into the tyrants synapse. By the time they get around to killing the Tyrant, your warriors have caught up. Works well, so far.

Well, I stick with leaping because I cant figure out how to glue the wings onto my warriors in the first place, the darned things keep falling off. I Find leaping much easyer to represent, as all you have to do is glue the legs on backwards dnad lean the body foreward some. Makes them look a bit mare like hormagaunts, hense the "leaping".
EVIL ELF RULES ALL!
with leaping you can make some nice suprise charges because you have a much wider range of assault. sometimes your opponent doesn't see they are leaping or he forgets then he thinks his men are safe and then you charge him.
Winged make the target a big fire magnet because almost everyone is scare of something that can move 12".
So I would say let them have the leaping biomorph.

Leaping won't really help your warriors keep up with the gaunts. Leaping only allows a 12" charge so your gaunts will outpace your warriors by 1D6 each turn if you use FOC. It is possible they will outrun your warriors by the second turn if you're (un)lucky.
IMO winged warriors are too expensive for their value. I'm thinking of using a HT and BL combo for my front-line synapse and a few Zoans for my reserve synapse. Since the BL is an IC it's retinue protects it from shooting attacks so I only have to worry about it getting killed in CC. I'm hoping that by the time my HT and BL are killed my Zoans have either made it to synapse range of my front-lines or all of my gaunts are already dead.
I do not criticize. I do not offend. All I offer is my opinion which means only as much as you make it.
