Seriously, how does a Crisis uit go about walking?
The reason I ask is because I'm working on a 3-D aniamtion involving a Crisis suit and I'm trying all kinds of things with it, including walking.
And whiole were on the subject, Crisis suits have the 'Recoil Absorption' Rule, but what would be the best way to animate it? I got a few ideas:
1] example: Having the arm go from outstreached to drawn back
2] The weapon moving back up[on the shot
3] A slight shake.
Well, I think I'm liking number one on that list better than the rest.
For walking, if you have read for the emporer theres a bit in it that describes the movement of crisis suits as " They walked lightly, not like the clunky heaviness of the sentinals but with grace, like a nimble..."
Well I couldn't remeber the exact quote but thats the general idea (I think)
Yet, I need more about long strides or short strides, do they contact with the hell, the whole foot at once or with toe first. Is it similar to a human walk cycle?? Ect Ect.
but thats useful Marlin Spike, I'll take that into mind when I make it to rry and make it as smooth as possible.
I'm still working on getting the jetpack to work properly thought.
I agree with onlainari, they don't have any heels so they should move on their toes.
Making them seem weightless might look cool, with the jetpacks making precise adjustments to make them "hoverjump" along perfectly. Like a big clunky elf jumping from flower to flower.
I think walking "normally" would take alot more time. And they should then seem to have regained their weight.
Their arms and legs are designed in most ways like ours. Though they can only bend their arms at 90 degrees and they can't bend their shoulders as high as us.
As for the Recoil part. There should be as much absorption as possible. I vote for 1 and 2 working together.
Where does this information come from? And what exactly do you mean? *is confused*Originally Posted by Zonkin
