Alright, so I just bought my first of 2 Broadsides, and I just want a little advice.
1] What is the best way to keep them from falling apart/over?
2] What do you guys do to your suits to seperate them from the rest? (Conversions)
3] well there is no 3...sorry.
AHHH!!! All that metal is gonna give me nightmares.
Glue the guns on sideways. This give more surface area and will hold better. Plus, if you get it on right, it balances to it while drying.
As for keeping it from falling over, I just proped them up against something while they dried.
Half Gods are worshiped with Wine and Flowers. Real Gods are worshiped in Blood.
Blood for the Blood God! Beer for the Bronze Keg!
I've seen a number of cool Broadside conversions. I have one with the Railguns mounted on the arms, and the SMS on the shoulders. Looks like a Battletech Warhammer, kinda. And, it's backhanding a Marine, too. I've got a picture up somewhere, too.
Also, converting them to hold the Railgun like a normal man holds a gun looks cool, too, but it's hard.
To prop them up, I just put some stickytack on it's back and stuck it up against the wall to dry.
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.
Member of the Canadian Clan, eh.
Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.
I just pin them quite deeply, as for conversions, my command Braodside has his Railguns mounted on his arms, I shortened the barrel section and repinned them back together (the RG are about an inch shorter" I gave him 2 plasma guns on the shoulder hardpoints (twin linked obviously) he looks pretty cool, The arm mounted RG allow for more dynamic posing.Originally Posted by MiketehFox
I also am a fan of the arm mounted rail guns. I've seen them done in several different ways, but pinning them with a long pin is really good.
I am personally a fan of the Tau, but one of the things that I don't like is the battlesuits because they are so static and non-dynamic looking. I really wish that they were more poseable like the ones that Forgeworld sells. However, if you want the Forgeworld ones then you are really going to be paying a lot for them.
The ankles break very easily so I put a clear plastic rod on the back of the backpack to the base as an aditional support and it works like a charm.
Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!
take the spare metal parts (those bits you cut of the guns and smart missle system and his feet) and glue them under the base at the right piont to counter the failing. beyond that put them on a bigger base its easyer than regluing them every time they fall overOriginally Posted by MiketehFox
What I would really like to see would be a broadside with a single railgun converted so he held it in two hands and it was also like a scythe. . Highly unfluffy but could look very very gribbly.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
