Alright i kno stealth suits are like sneaky troops trying to pin down certain enemies and get behind their lines but how much different are they from pathfinders? No not like stat or points wise, but more along the lines of what they cant and can do. Differently or the same as pathfinders.
well for one thing stealth teams aot active camo on them, in other words, their suits change as they move, so that they are "invisible" or they might be entirely invisible via a cloaking device, but im not sure, either way, they are hard to spot with the naked eye. also they have the jetpacks, so they can fly right over the opposition, with pathfinders its diff. they have to travel via devilfish before a battle starts, to take up positions behind and in cover, so they cant be seen, and stay there, using their markerlights to guide in heavy weaponry like railguns, really they are quite different, stealth suits are anti infantry/ assasins/ special black ops, pathfinders are forward scouts that have specialised weapons for taking down armor
Tau - Knights of the Frozen Wastes
Necrons - The Phalanx of Gleaming Death
CSM - Iron Warriors

Stealth Teams can infiltrate and are shot at under the night fighting rules ... meaning they're more "stealthy" than Pathfinders.Originally Posted by hitman20
Stealth Teams have bigger guns, which shoot more.
Pathfinders have a vehicle, markerlights, a Scout move, and no infiltration/stealth capabilities. They also have the possibility of pinning the enemy.
Is that sorta what you were looking for?
Stealth Suits = sneaky types, gamewise and fluffwise.
Pathfinders = sneaky types only in fluff, if even that.
We can only hope that Pathfinders will be able to infiltrate rather then just "scout" in the any Tau updates in the future.
Kroot are sneaky too.

In my army my stealth, pathfinders. and kroot are all my scouts. That is fluff wise.
They are still different however, the kroot scout out through terrain and almost fight their own battle. The pathfinders use their speed in their devilfish to scout the enemy, and are quite inexperienced fighters, retreating back to the main force when enemy is spotted. The stealths scout out the enemy utilising their stealth suits and hold their position when enemy is spotted, providing the first fire on the enemy. My stealths are pretty much crazy.
Of course, on the table top, stealth and pathfinders are extremely different.

3) Pathfinders and Fire Warriors are, statistically, equal. That was pure chance and does not reflect the unit's capabilities at all.
