Welcome to Librarium Online!
I had a crazy idea whilst reading codex: witch hunters. I was reading the adversaries rules, and it said "necrons may not take the HQ choices". But what about the troops? How about humans who are one stage away from becoming necrons completely?
I thought, perhaps, you could use the rules for mutants. you can make them S4 T4 by giving them the correct daemonic gifts, they are WS3 BS2 representing their confused state of mind, and you can even give them virtual gauss flayers in the form of firearms, they are AP6 rather than AP5. They even Get Hot - representing the fact that although they are almost fully necron, they are still subject to the heat backlash or whatever.
I am almost certain this would lead to some exciting conversions.
any ideas? suggestions?
i would just like to say that i have no idea what you are talking about.
this may be because i have no experience with witch hunters, or why they aren't allowed to play against necrons (no HQ means no FOC, no FOC means no standard missions).
i dont know if anyone else shares my ignorance, but if you could explain the backdrop more fully then i would be glad to help.
if you are talking about making another troops choice- sure, go for it. i think a sort of sub-pariah (human being turned 'cron) would be great.
however, fluffwise it does not work. only pariahs are being produced, not warriors, but you could have, as i said, people being pariahed as a troops.
hes talking about the witch hunter adversary rules, basically if you fight them then you can get different kinds of units... I think it sounds like a good idea, makes sense for like some of the certain C-tans like maybe adeptus mechanicus dragon worshippers...
the adversary rules aren't limited only to fighting witch hunters, you just need your opponents permission to use them when you aren't fighting witch hunters
