Shadow Grey with a fine layer of codex grey looks good for Tau skin.

Well, I dont have the book at home right now. But As I remember it they had it basecoated with chaos black. Then Shadow grey, then either space wolf grey or codex grey (and then space wolfes grey) maybe a highlight of fortress grey.
In the Codex the Ethereal is painted Shadow Grey basecoat with 50/50 mix of Elf Flesh and Shadow Grey, the highlights are Ghostly Grey.Originally Posted by Shas'O RenoSaurus
On normal Tau FW I use Shadow Grey mixed 60/40 with Codex Grey and Higlight with codex Grey (very sparingly) its quick and looks good.
one of my mate's painted it green, but that's just him. otherwise, the doctor's sounds good

He spilled blood in Khorne's name.
And the fact that he's legal makes me glad

I did a mix of Shadow Grey and Space Wolves Grey. I cant remember the ratio though... you just need a bunch of Space Wolves to actually get it to come out at all.
I'd give you a photo but im still learning how to do that. Sorry.
It might be tough, but good looking skin really helps put a life-like punch into your models. I have a fire warrior and Aun'shi painted this way. Good Luck!
