New to Tau... need help with army list

I've been considering starting up Tau for a little while and have come up with a 1500 point army list. (This is my first time posting here... tell me if I break any rules )

Shas'o with plasma rifle, missle pods, multi-tracker. 110 pts
Crisis team 1: 2 with plasma rifle, missle pods, multi-trackers. 130 pts
Crisis team 2: 2 with plasma rifle, missle pods, multi-trackers. 130 pts
Stealth Battlesuit team: 6 battlesuits. 180 pts
Fire Warrior Team 1: 12 with pulse rifles. Devilfish.200 pts
Fire Warrior Team 2: 12 with pulse rifles. Devilfish. 200 pts
Fire Warrior Team 3: 12 with pulse rifles. Devilfish. 200 pts
Broadside Team: 2 with shield generators. 180 pts
Hammerhead with railgun, burst cannons, gun drones. 170 pts

This all comes to 1500 pts exactly, if my calculations are correct. Still, I figure since im new to Tau I've probably screwed up somewhere :p
    So, what needs fixing?

Before I start on the list, Welcome to LO an djust a reminder, theres a forum for Army Lists:http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...play.php?f=159

And if your Worried about breaking rules, read them first:

Well, first off you need some Tank Upgrades, they really help them shine.

Split up the Boradsides, you can cover more of the board with them in 2 locations.

Maybe have a little bit of variety in your Crisis Suits? The big advantage of Crisis Suits is how you can mold them to suit any occaison, the Suits you have work, but what you do with them is up to you.

All in all, it seems like an effective, if not boring, list. I'm sure others may have different things to say, but eh.

Yeah or maybe put a few pulse carbines in your firewarrior squads in case someone gets a little too close and needs to get pinned.

    Actually, no.

Giving a FW a Carbine means He can't hit far out targets, thus reducings the chance of amaking them fall back or out right killing them.

But the Final desision is up to you, I say no, but eh.

Everybody should consider the base cost for a Hammerhead to be 100 points. Why? A Multi-Tracker is ESSENTIAL. For it's cost, it allows the Hammerhead to move 12'' every turn and still shoot. It is the best upgrade ever made for a tank.

    The Broadsides should have Multi-Trackers.

Fire Warrior Teams REALLY need Shas'ui. The extra LD is very worth it.

Personally, I would drop a Broadside and use the points to spread around upgrades. Multi-Tracker, Decoy Launcher and Target Lock for the Hammerhead, Shas'ui for the Fire Warriors, Decoy Launcher for the Devilfish, and Twin-Link the Plasma Rifles on the Shas'o, with the Multi-Tracker Hard-Wired.
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.

Member of the Canadian Clan, eh.
Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.

In 1500pts there is a few points to spend once you've got the basics. You gone broadsides and crisis suits, and haven't included kroot. I think you'd be better off with losing the broadsides and 2-3 crisis suits for an ioncannon mounted hammerhead, and two units of 10 kroot.

You also absolutely must by a few upgrades for your vehicles. Every single vehicle needs a decoy launcher, and hammerheads need multitrackers. I believe devilfish should be given multitrackers and targetting arrays too, I use them and they have been very good.

And that's just with the Kroot.

Why the broadsides? This list screams mech tau but broadsides are the most immoblie unit in the tau army. I suggest swapping them for another hammer head. Multitrackers are a must for the hammerhead and the targetting array is a must for the devilfish. Decoy launchers are very good if your going to be on the move all the time. Lastly NO carbines, just don't take them.
