    stealth teams worth it?

    I aint never played with stealth teams what role do you usually use them in I assume they are good for knocking out mid to light infantry quickly whilst still being able to do some damage against heavier units.

    They are worth it, yes.

    They're good vs. all sorts of Infantry just from their number of shots and reasonably high survival rate. They're fast, and can Infiltrate, getting them to objectives quickly.

    The volume of high strength shots also means they are good against light vehicles.

    It's all in how you use them.

    You are correct.
    Stealth Teams are probably one of the best all around units in the game, being able to take out lots of Infantry with either volume or strength of shooting, and Light to Medium vehicles with their Strength 5 guns combined with volume of shots.

    I take at least 4 in any sized game, and they always do well.
    Half Gods are worshiped with Wine and Flowers. Real Gods are worshiped in Blood.

    I love my stealths, they seem like they can do anything!

    As others have said, they kill everything but heavy units, they can deep strike, infiltrate and move around really fast (silly me, I just learned about the 12" a turn thing, having great fun tormenting friends), they have those nice stealth suits which really hurt an opponents ability to shoot back, and they have decent armour. For as many points (base) as a Crisis shas'ui I thought they wouldn't be worth it, but they are great. Pick some up or I cutchoo.

    they are awesome! i annoy my apponent so much every game with them! in the first or second turn i kill so much with them. they almost always get assaulted since they have to get close, but the good save and the fact that they count as being in cover always ensures they can survive assault. pie 4 makes them awesome too.

    Yeah stealths rulez, I've never maked a Tau list without at least 4 stealths and my opponents hate them. They practially makes it impossible for them to shoot on my army, and then I can outshoot them instead

    So IMO stealths ARE worth it
    Dragons do flame.... but only when they are upset or they want to


    According to new signature rules my hydra (the only reason for it to be here was to please Caluin) have been removed. But still dragons pwnz hydras anytime

    My one regret with my Tau army was that I didn't buy enough Stealth Suits, I only took 4 and never felt it to be enough. 2 squads of 6 would have made me soo happy.

    Watch out for assault weapons though, the night fight average distance seen is 21" JSJ ought to put you 24" away but moving 6" towards you makes spotting possible.
    Bikers are a serious threat too.

    Appart from that its plain sailing use them and good luck.

    Yeah and so are charging eldars with grenades, that makes them hit first caused better I, but I will still say that stealths are one of the most vital parts of a good army list, but that probably just me I also likes kroots

    Stealths would easily win the tau favourite unit contest. What is good about stealths is that they have a steep bell curve with so many shots. They have a very high chance of doing about average. The great part about that is that makes them reliable.

    They are a huge pain to most any infantry in the game. That simple.


    A good commander will keep his stealths out of firing range. When the chance does come along, they may not even be able to shoot at the unit.

    Jump over and pound s5's into something, and jump 6 inches back behind the bush...No retaliation.

    High shot output vs guard/nids/orks
    Decent str vs Marines/orks
