Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok, I have a little problem.
see, I want to convert my crisis, but if I do, I won't be able to magnetic mount some parts. I think magnetic mount is a better option, but conversion is cooler. what should I do?
Also, my crisis suits have a linked plasma, but only one plasma is delivered with it. am I supposed to convert the other?
Get them from the Broadside Box (if you use them).
Or ask around for extras.
Half Gods are worshiped with Wine and Flowers. Real Gods are worshiped in Blood.
Blood for the Blood God! Beer for the Bronze Keg!
well it will be rather tough to get a sxtra plasma (who would not use them?)
convert is the best way to go. looks cooler and gives your army a more distinct look
So, what parts won't you be able to magnetic mount if you do convert? what kind of conversions are you talking about? With a little creativity and some advance planing you should be able to do both, unless your conversions are really extreme.Originally Posted by Shas'O RenoSaurus
I am a freak for magnets, so I'd be happy to help. Just need some more info from you.
And as the doctor says, you should be able to get some extra plasma's from either your own or someone else's broadside kit, or from another crisis kit. Failing that, you could order just the gun sprue from GW. It does suck that you get exactly one of each weapon in the kits. On the other hand, remember the whole point of magnetic mounts is to be able to reconfigure your suits, so even if you think you are always going to want TL Plasma (an excellent all-purpose choice) it doesn't really matter at this point. Sink the magnets in what you have now and get more later.

I wanted to connect my plasma rifles to the backpack with a wire. also, I wanted to create a whole new Missile pod (my second team has TL missile pod). I wanted to convert a new shield generator, but I don't know how yet.
hmm... for the missile pod, why not make the missile-pod vertically-mounted on teh shoulder instead of horizontal? A sheild generator might be a bit difficult, but what about taking O'shovah's and filing off the farsight enclave symbol? Or get plasticard and make your own 'sheild'
As for modifying the plasma rifles... why would you want to put cords between the gun and the jetpack? if you're dead-set on doing it, why not take guitar wire, drill into the bottom of the forearms and run the wire from there? that way you can still magnetically mount weapons onto the forearms.
All of these conversions should work fine with magnetic mounting, as Legion said. I'm also not sure about the plasma-backback connection, but you could certainly do it- just drill a small hole in both the backpack and the gun, and glue a length of wire or whatever into the gun side of it. Something bendy would probabaly be best. Then when you mount the converted plasma you can just pop the loose end of the wire into the holes on the backpack. If you really want to get fancy you could carve or model some kind of rim or design around the holes so they look less like drill holes when they are empty (ie when you have mounted something besides the wire-equiped plasmas).Originally Posted by Shas'O RenoSaurus
The important thing is to place the magnets in the arm or sholder and the converted weapons in a "standard" position, so they will be interchangeable with other, converted or non-converted weapons. And, of course, always make sure your polarity is the same for all mounts.
