    Various Army Types

I was thinking of going with an army that would be typical of the different stages of a Tyranid invasion. This is just my initial placement of the various units in the different stages of invasion. What are your ideas? Comments?

    Initial Attack
    HQ- Broodlord, Warriors
    ELITE- Lictors, Warriors
TROOPS- a lot of Genestealers, some Hormagaunts and Gaunts
FAST ATTACK- Raveners, Gargoyles, Spore Mine Clusters, Winged Warriors
    HEAVY SUPPORT- Carnifex

    Main Force
    HQ- Tyrant, Warriors
    ELITE- Warriors
TROOPS- some Genestealers, mainly Hormagaunts and Gaunts, some Ripppers
FAST ATTACK- some Gargoyles, some Winged Warriors
HEAVY SUPPORT- Zoanthropes, Biovores, many Carnifexes

    Clean Up
    HQ- Warriors
    ELITE- Warriors
TROOPS- some Gaunts and Hormogaunts, LOTS of Rippers
    FAST ATTACK- winged rippers?
    HEAVY SUPPORT- Biovores? or Carnifexi?

I'm just listing what units I think would be in each different 'part' of a Tyranid invasion. Sorry for the confusion.

That would be a really awsome idea for a big ol' battle. Have 2 tyranid players playing through all the steps of the invasion and have 4 defenders trying to battle it off. The nid players would get however many points but they can reuse their nids through out the game, while the defenders can't. If the nids kill the defenders, the nids win. If the defenders hold them off, the defenders win. Just an idea :p

Well your idea for a vanguard force ( first nids to arrive ) is completely wrong.
The UK WD 307 has this special scenario, page 88 and the only units used are:

Broodlord, Lictors, Gaunts, Gargoyles, Genestealers and Sporemine Clusters.
