Welcome to Librarium Online!
I've made a new armylist, but I wanna know some things.
1) Is it legal to have a kroot carnivore squad with 9 kroot and 4 kroot hound?
2) Does an army like this work?
This is the list:
2 X Shas'o with plasma, fusion, missile, HW tracker
2 shas'ui with plasma, missile, tracker
1 shas'vre with plasma, missile, fusion, HW tracker
I have 3 elite slots with this squad.
2 squads of 9 fire warriors and 1 team leader with markerlight and HW target Lock
1 squad kroot with 9 kroot and 4 kroot hound
1 broadside with SMS, tracker
Hammerhead sith railgun, burst cannon, tracker, target lock.
this is a total of 1501 pts.
tell me what you think. and if you know the awnser to my question.
Right Shas to give you the straight answer, unfortunately you have to take at least 10 Kroot minimum, also you cant take a Kroot hound as fast attack on its own, it has to be attached to a Kroot carnivore squad.Originally Posted by Shas'O RenoSaurus
So you cant take the hound FA choice unless the pack you have listed as Fast attack is the same pack your taking with the Kroot,if they aren't the same pack your taking an illegal unit.
Hope that helps.
yeah. the kroothound pack are the same. I listed them at both cause they are a FA choice, but they belong iin the carnivore squad.
but, if you need at least 10 kroot, then I'm gonna have to think of another way to get rid of 7 points.
It's a scary list against armies that field few expensive units such as daemonhunters but you're going to have a very hard time against tyranids or even imperial guard armies that have alot of units. Problem with taking that many crisis suits is that you take alot of shots off the board that could provide you with a strong base of fire.
The list is a good list but I think it's tooled out to take out specific armies instead of a well rounded one.
This list would also help if you have an army full of multiple wound units that have toughness 3. Like silly ripper swarm armies that will no longer work in the present version of the game.
You can shave some points off by specializing the Fusion/Missile/Plasma trio. You waste points on three weapons because the suits aren't tailored to specific tasks.
You can also forget about a Shas'vre-led squad as a single elite choice and go with 3 shas'ui instead (as 3 separate elite slots). Cheaper and more flexible.
You can also take the markerlights/target locks off your FW squads. No seeker missiles and the fact that there's only one per squad, makes them only marginally useful.
Doing that will get you an extra Kroot and the essential Decoy Launchers on your Hammerhead. Maybe there's even enough savings to slap a shield generator on your BS or upgrade the HH to SMS.
