Welcome to Librarium Online!
sorry if this has been posted but I searched the forum and couldnt find what I was looking for. It says that battle suits cant move and fire heavy weapons but can they perform the jump pack move in the assault phase if they do.
"They shall all taste OBLIVION!,.....which tastes like Red Bull, which is disgusting."
Yes they can, as long as they do not move in the movement phase to fire the heavy weapon they can use the jet pack rules to move in the assault phase.
wouldn't the can't charge after a heavy weapon is fired rule not allow an assault jump?
besides, the suits aren't stabilized. they only treat rapid fire weaps as stablized.
not heavies, or they would put markerlights on suits

The fact that they can't charge after shooting a heavy weapon has nothing to do with a Tau Jetpack - the Jetpack states, even if not charging, you can still move that 6", so it's perfectly legal to use that assault move after firing a heavy weapon.
What does the suit being stabilised have to do anything? The stabilisation lets them fire a Rapid Fire weapon up to once maximum range and all that, even when moving. It has nothing to do with heavy weapons, nor the assault move. Just the initial move.
I does state in the FAQ on the GW site that they may ue their assault move regarless of what weapon they use.
