Are Feral Orks Really that Feral?

I feel they are not actully 'feral'. I mean they have cyboars. The way they are described in fluff says they should bearly have guns (to which I object).
What is your opinon on them?

By night he fought with pen and parchment.....

Remember that almost all base Orky "teknologee" is gained from the knowledge imprinted on the DNA. Stuff like early guns, cyboars, how to beat and eat a grot, all come naturally to them. They don't have any of tha big nasty tech that a regular Ork army has, so, I would have to yes, they are feral. They don't have battlewagons, they have squigoths, they don't have trukks, they have squigoths, they don't have any of the high end weapons or flying things, etc etc, etc.

And they're also weaker because they haven't had as much combat experience as normal orks.

On the plus side, though, they are BS3. Probably due to their need to shoot food to kill it. I'm not ocmplaining, I'm about to start a feral ork army, mostly because it will be cool to convert a Super Cyboar.

I think warrior poet, they aren't that feral. I'm working on some fluff for big boss Koni and his Bug Huntas, He selects and recruits orks from worlds that have gone backward so the orks are behaving like warhammer fantasy orks, sort of like how marines pick their new candidates as well.

I just realized, you can use the regular warhammer fantasy ork models to make you feral orks, since they dont have any guns. TEEHEEHEEE!!!!!!!!

Thanks for backing me up Triumph.....
I really think that Feral Orks should be more like Kroot Mercenries. I still can't get my head around the fact that GW thought Cyboars were 'feral'.

Wellllll, a cyboar is a bit more feral than, say, a motorcycle. I think that what they really meant to say was "Organic Orks" instead of Feral Orks.

Whereas normal Orks rely on lots of technology to accomplish missions, "organic Orks" rely more on animals to do their grunt work for them. Yeah, they can use a couple of beat up old trucks that they find lying around, but that's not really technology so much as making use of what you find out on the battlefield.

I agree with you to a certain extent that they don't seem to Feral in some aspects, but they are much more "wild". In fact, I think the best name for them overal would be Wild Orks. That's even better than Organic Orks. I think the reason that GW went with the word Feral was because Feral sounds dangerous and choppy while "wild" really only inspires unkempt hair.

Oh come on.. get some armour plates and a tank of stimulant drugs and hammer them onto some unfortunate piggy. How high tech is that?

They ride boars! How much more feral do you need them to be before you consider them to be feral?

All 'feral' means is wild, not completely devoid of technology. Boars, to me, seems pretty wild, who cares if they have some basic tech strapped to them.
