what do you hate most about the tyranids
[QUOTE=warmaster89]what do you hate most about the tyranids[/QUOTE}
Nothing they are cool, along with Tau they are my favourite army.
The 'Without Number' thing. C'mon, that's just cheesey!
Other than that, not much. Maybe the fact they can move so freaking fast, and the board is only 4 feet wide.
Half Gods are worshiped with Wine and Flowers. Real Gods are worshiped in Blood.
Blood for the Blood God! Beer for the Bronze Keg!
Not really it cost 3 point PER MODEL for the without number ability, so for a unit 32 Gaunts thats 96 points extra and only Gaunts can take it not Hormagaunts. The maximum range of the weapons available to the Gaunt is 18" and when the unit starts back on the table it has to start from the Tyranid players board edge, which means a couple of turns to get into range (even with fleet)Originally Posted by The Doctor
2 units of 32 Gaunts at a cost of 5 pts for spinefists +3 pts for the WN ability per model would cost you 512 points hardly cheap. So the points and board edge deployment pretty much balances out the benefits of the rule, also jsut dont kill the entire unit and you have pretty much nullified the rule anyway. Cheesy NAH no way.
I hate the fact that they die so easily under my submunitions LOL
Yeah way too fast, but thats why its fun playing against 'em
Gotta love those submunnitions, the achilles heel of all hoards :ninja: (Look a NINJA smiley excellent)Originally Posted by O'SU

I mean, yeah, Hammerheads are the bane of my hoard as well since GW felt the need to jack up the price on them again, but I'm fairly certain you meant "horde."
Anyway, what do I hate about Tyranids?
Well, nothing really. They were my first army waaayyy back in 2nd Edition and to this day I have almost 6000 points of them sitting on my shelf. I don't play them much anymore, but I still dust them off when I need to play a really big game or demonstrate the point to a newbie that yes, those huge, psychopathic mutant monsters who drink blood, worship a corpse-god and spend their entire lives dedicated to the sole prupose of killing people really are the good guys... facing them off against an entire race driven by a single consciousness that exists with the sole purpose of extinguishing all life in the universe tends to drive that point home at about the same time my Tyrant drives his point through the chest of the Force Commander.

Yes I meant Horde (sorry), I also have about 4000pts of Tyranids, I use them a lot but I use them to prove another point, that Nids can work with next to no shooting and lots of Stealers, I take 32 Stealers and one Carnifex with one gun (thats the shooting part of my list right there) and I would not take the Carnie if we were still allowed two winged Tyrants. I love showing the people who say that a Stealer heavy, non shooting CC based list cant work, just how wrong they are, they are my most productive list in both 3rd & 4th edition by far, with Tau second.Originally Posted by Straylight
if the question is what do Tau players hate whwn facing a nid list, well talking from experience with my list against Tau players, two things stand out:
1 The speed of my list, usually in CC with some part of the enemy army by turn two.
2 Rending, i have 32 Stealers, 1 Broodlord, A Tyrant, 4 Warriors all with rending and when they get to grips with any enemy model they kill it.
So thats what my opponents hate.
I hate them big things that wont die in one railgun shot like everything else in the entire game. I'm yelling, "WHEN I SHOOT THIS, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BITE THE DUST LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS GALAXY!"
"I'd rather fight 100 Hammerheads than 20 Battlesuits" -Vinnie, an Ultramarine.
