Welcome to Librarium Online!
do tou think you could legally field a completely winged tyranid army and do you think it would perform well because i have been thinking about trying it if you can legally do it any ideas.
you could probably do it but you would not have a very big army because most of the units that can take wings take up a fast attack slot if you give them that biomorph
It is possible.
your tyrant can have wings (HQ)
rippers can get wings (TROOPS)
and then you cen put some winged warriors and gargoyles to complete your points total
If you give all those warriors some rending claws and scything talons, and your tyrant 2scything talon sets, it might be painfull.

Rippers with wings also take a fast attack slot. So you only gonna have three slot of troops and your tyrants...
It might be a little bit short on units.
Tyranid 2500 pts
Space marine 750 pts
hmmm ok then i didnt relise if u give something wings it becomes fast attack however im gonna do that and also have gaunts and maybe genestealers to have a very quick army
it would mean you have to take gargoyles.
I think that wings= deep strike and that a whole army of wings= crowded and that crowded= auto wounds for d. striking onto
a)your own units
b)your opponents units
I mean, wings are like chocolate. Good when taken in small doses but eating a bucket of the stuff and its not a pretty sight. Dont get me wrong, because I love giving some of my guys wings, but i recommend you replace some of those units with fast ground attack ones because winged units are normally shooty ones, so I recommend genstealers with scuttlers and some hormagaunts, with a few leaping warriors.
Bad because he has to take Gargoyles. Gargoyles are great, They're uber fast have 2CC attacks (one at I8 S4) and can shoot, all that for the same price as an improved strength hormi. I managed to take out half a space marine army with a brood of these guys.

The first tendrils of the Great Devourer, a single entity stretching over light years of space and controlled by the immortal Hive Mind, have probed our galaxy and found it rich in prey.
It has begun to feed.
