I recently played a person in a 2000 pt game and I use two Necron Lords both with the Res Orb, one with VOD and the other with the Destroyer body. As we were playing he told me that having two Lords both of them with the res orb was overkill. That the necrons aren't supposed to have two res orbs, it doesn't fit there "Feel".

So then i asked him about his power weapons and other things, he was an eldar player, but this brought up a point in my head to ask and see in a 2000 point army how many and of what kind do you use of your Necron Lords.

    for 2000pt here are mine:

    Necron Lord 200pt
    VOD
    Res Orb

    Necron Lord 210pt
    WarSchythe
    Destroy Bdy
    Phase Shifter
    Res Orb

2 resurection orbs are a bit overkill.

you should equip your closecombat lord with the phaseshifer (4+ I Save)

and give you walking lord the res. orb, since he wil be closest to your main group of troops.

I always use a Res orb and a Phase Shifter with my lord instead of a Destroyer Body, reason being that a) Only Railguns and Special Characters with power fists can insta-kill him anyway and He's always with my Immortals, so making him faster than them is pointless. I also try not to use the Warscythe because I have power weapon anyway and I like getting a ranged attack.

Well, For most battles I use 1 lord,

    Necron Lord
    Res Orb
    Phase Shifter
    Phylactery

That works pretty well. I dont like to use more than one lord, because you can get the job done with just one, and they are expensiuon little suckers.

And Victoruno, you might not want to list points of stuff, thats against the rules, and You probably do not want to Open Bornin's wrath upon you.

Yeah I just saw that he wanted all wargear points total in the army list forum as well, so Now I might be on his radar now. I will lay low on rules infractions for now i guess.

So having two lords with res orb is 1) Overkill and 2) Points Sink.

I agree with the Points sink. Having those extra 10-12 warriors wouuld be nice.

I will have to try it a game or two.
