ok... which gaunt's do you guys use. i personnal use spinegaunts however i notcied for "1" extra pt. you get termangants (not using "without#'s" presay!) i saw this and noticed i might use them in my next battle. but who really uses them? or which one? or whatever:wacko: ?
I use spinegaunts. The reason, when you field MANY of them that 1 point equals out to another 'fex, (give or take). My Spinies aren't there to hurt anyone, (they just want to play), if they cause a wound or, (heaven forbid), a break test, that's gravy.
EDIT - OK, who voted and didn't post!?! That's you, isn't it Stripperpup?
A little pain never hurt anyone - Larry
Me? Tyranids? Boring! Gribbly little bugs, all the same, and they're a horde army! I like my troops to be disgustingly over-priced, though an eight-monster bug army appeals to me. Still, I didn't do it, ya jerk.
im going with hormagaunts
they are nasty little buggers:realmad:
I voted spine guants because you can play the numbers game with them...you know for only 960 points you can get a sick 192 gaunts, have you ever caused 192 wounds in a game? if you just stick them in some cover they will last forever...the real question is can you come up with a 1000 point army that can cause 192 wounds in six turns?
I agree with Caluin too (NO I am not stalking you Cal). Units should do something other than to die, EXCEPT maybe Gaunts with out numbers and Gargoryles geared to hit a certain unit. with 12 move fleet and charge, they bog down any unit.
I use both types of gaunts, simply as they each have a specific task at hand.
I prefer the Termagants. For only 1 pt more than the Spinegaunts, you can get a unit that actually has a chance of killing something, but can still be thrown down the throat of the enemy without remorse.
