Hi im a noob to 40k and i like the bad moons and their rules alot it's just i was adding up the sum for a squad of flash gitz with shootier and more dakka and it was way too much!which one is better?strentgh five attacks? or two strentgh 4?
More Dakka is better. Because of orkses' poor Ballistic skill, you need more shots. Plus, they can always fire twice out to a full 24" (and still charge, if you want to :tongue because it's an a assault 2 weapon. Too much of an advantage to pass up. Extra shots. Extra range.
Thanx for the help
I play Bad Moons, and have thus 2 flash git mobs.
I think shootier is alot better.
When they close in close to your enemy (which you should be doing) , they get 2 shots anyway, and str 5 can kill things alot better.
Plus its alot cheaper, and you don't waste as many points when you put big shootas on the squads aswell.
NEVER take blastier, statistically, you will kill more of your own flash gits than enemy troops.
It depends what you're up against, kinda.
Against weedy stuff like guardsmen or fisheads, more dakka is probably a good idea.
However, if you're shooting at carnifexes and vehicles, shootier is probably the way to go
yeah, shootier flash gits take out light vehicles easily, but I stoll hold that they are better all round. An extra shot compared to 1 less needed on the wound roll basically against toughness 3 armies.
I just love the phrase before I roll the wounds "killing on 2s" (even if they do get a save...)
Mut that why you have Big shooters, if you don't hit the target it won't matter what strength your weapon has. More Dakka is the way to go
Spike: If every vampire who said he was at the Crucifixion was actually there it would've been like Woodstock. I was at Woodstock. I fed off a flower person and I spent six hours watching my hand move.
If you're getting within 12" with your flash gits in order to get the 2 shots, then you also open yourself to being assaulted. Flash gits don't do that well when they get assaulted. At 12-24", the statistics favor 2xS4 shots over 1xS5 shot, especially when armor saves are taken into account. S4 is pretty decent anyway, the purpose of FG's is to kill infantry, not Carnifexes and the like!
Anyway, to each his own, I guess. That's why there's more than one option!
