I have 1 Devilfish and 5 pathfinders 3 with...Pulse Rifles? And 2 with Railrifles, and 3 Crises Suits with Missle Pods and Plasma Rifles and 10 Kroot and 1 Broadside. I need troops but how much...and stuff Thanks.
Alot of Firewarriors will proove very useful. I would probably get more Kroot as well. Although I personally don't play Tau, I play vs. them often. It seems that Firewarriors and Crisis Suits are the key to his army, and proove to be effective. I would get a Hammerhead with interchangable weapons as well.
Well, first, buy the Codex.
Then the next thing you need is two boxes of Fire Warriors. That'll give you your two mandatory Troops choices and a solid firebase to work off of.
After that, a fourth Crisis Suit (three suits for your Elites slots and one for your Commander) might be a good idea as well as picking up either another Broadside or a Hammerhead, depending on how you like to play.
After that, you'll probably want to fill out your Pathfinders to 8 (with up to one more Rail Rifle) and your Kroot to 20 (maybe pick up a Shaper and some Hounds too).
At that point, you'll have a solid army around a thousand points to play with, and with some games under your belt and the Codex in-hand, you should have a pretty clear idea of what else you need to expand your forces.
Other'n that, feel free to look around LO and the Tau boards, ask any questions you might have, and be sure to check out some of the excellent resources for Tau out there, including the http://groups.msn.com/MechanizedTauTactica/. MTT is a wonderful resource of tactical and strategic advice whether you like Mechanized Tau or not, and I adivse everyone to have at least read the T0nka's work before they take the field.

If your intending to play from around 1250 pts to 2000 pts, then I suggest you always have at least 3 full units of firewarriors. Whether you tool them up or not is down to your playing style. Or not!
I regularly play 2000 point battles against various opposition. Always my army has at least 3 - 4 full units (boonded) of Firewarriors.
The amount of deadly firepower these boys can put out when grouped close to each other to maximise the 30" shooting is quite scary.
Watch in glee as a a mob of 20 plus Orks stride towards you only to be left with the Nob and a couple of boyz when three unit open up on them!!
well i woulg recomend to put those pathfinders in a box under the sea.
and bonding is not good at all. i would give them a shas ui.
what style are you going to play? mech static or a mix?
Kroots IMO is not worth their points. to low initiative and no/low save make them die before chance to strike.
