I was thumbing through Chapter approved 2004 today at the shop and was looking at the wyrdboy entry, and realized that having a wyrdboy with the fleetfoot power would be awesome for my army. I remember reading somewhere in some ork FAQ that regular ork armies were allowed to have wyrdboyz on account of the fact that it has always been that way and to satisfy the older players etc.
Does anyone know of this reference and could they point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.
that really doesn't help. What do you mean by yes?
i was answering your first question "Wyrdboyz And Codex Orks, Can they be taken?". The answer is "Yes"
do you know where it says this, because my TO won't take a simple yes for an answer
I dunno, but I suggest checking Feral Ork lists, it might be there. In addition, scour through the Q&As on GW's website.

I believe the answer is no. Only Feral now. The weird boyz were allowed in the 40k rule book but where droped from the list when the Codex came out.
But double check the Feral list, if there is aloop hole that I missed then that is where it is...WAAAGH! Da Wyrd boyz
"Da Orks is da best cuz we ar ded ard an killy, mean, green, krumpin machines, hav da most dakka, da stompiest dreads, da shootiest gunz, da biggest bosses, an we uze choppas...WAAAGH!"
I just read some of the 2004 Q&A today. You may take weridboyz and boarboyz in a regular Ork army.
Download both of the Q&A's ....the answer is buried somewhere in there
IG since '95.
And there is a faq that says a standard ork army can have feral ork units. I added some boarboyz to my orks. Feral orks have a BS-3 which is awesome by comparison, so mixing and matching work out pretty well. Take shooter feral orks and let the choppa-boyz be standard troops. Modeling them is the only real issue
print out the second of the 2 faqs, under the ork section, your answer is sorta-covered there. That tells you that feral orks can be included. And the rules for weirdboyz are in the feral ork rules (buy the chapter approved 2003 supplement - maybe 2002? - which has the rules for feral orks - that book also has corrections to the ork codex in there as well as other cool stuff, so I advise getting it if you don't already).
