Has anyone ever used a solitare, or any harlequin inside of a DE army? how do they do?

indeed i have and yes they are very much worth it.
As it is with the harlie army the solitaire is a combat monster, he makes short work of mostly any squad there is out there.
death jesters are quite cool as well, they are kind of mini-raiders with the bright lance.
be careful how you use them though, some player might regard it as cheesy but shouldnt really have a problem as they arent the uber super fighters some players tries to make em out to be but still some might cry "cheese".

they're good, but with no armor/invul save in hth they are quite vulnerable. You cant just crash one into a terminator squad and expect it to live very long. Although the solitaire is a beast in close combat, they must still be used tactfully.
