I play ulthwe eldar now and it isnt shooty enuf for me. i dont wanna paint 1000's of guardsmen so in the future i want toplay a tau army. i cant really afford to go out and but it at once and i cant wait for a long time till my ulthwe is done. im gonna buy a box set here and thetre of fire warriors or w.e and im gonna paint em up as i go along.
my question is this: my favorite color is purple (like a liche purple). im not familar with tau all that much, read the codex couple times and would purple fit with another color to make an effective color scheme? or is purple just somehting that is not thought of that goes with tau? thanks in advance.
<insert witty remark here>
Tau is a lot like eldar guardians. You have armor, the undersuit, and the gun. You could go for the color scheme you already use with your Uthwe. The only main thing tau have that eldar dont is the breaks in their linked armor. That is the lines between armored plates. You could just do them black if you want. If you want purple I would go for purple undersuit, red armor, black lines between armor, and some color for gun (dont know)
Thats my 2 cents
The secret of success is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you have it made.
You will live a long full life and gradually decay into a useless blob.
I use liche purple in my color scheme with black and different silvers....i posted in the color scheme thread...
Tau are very easy to paint you just need a colour that matches with purple
