"It will not drift if it is stunned or shaken..."
What does this mean? I can't find any references to "drift" in my Codexes. Does that mean it ignores stunned and shaken? If so, why not just simply state it like in other codexes?
To me, a shaken means it can't shoot (except the big crystal) and stunned means it can't move or shoot. Other than the not crashing bit when it is immobilized, I don't see anything different about it.
In the old rules at least skimmers that where stunned would drift for that turn and so the monolith would be exempt fom it. In the 4th ed. I think this rule has been scrapped so it no longer applies (please correct if I'm wrong) and as the codex was written for the 3rd ed. some of it is out of date.

Efficiency VS Point Cost VS Ease Of Use - Your best bets:
1) Chaplain led Assault squad - 2 plasma pistols, powerfisted sergeant
2) 8 man Devastator squad - 4 missile launchers
3) Land Speeder Tornado - HB + AC
which while not all that detrimental, takes away from something that was kinda cool about it. I wonder if the drift/no drift concept was figured when point costing the model.

EDIT: I realize that I was kinda rude there, and I appologize for that. As well, I shouldn't be arguing about point costs on this thread. Hey Nilvaryn? Do you want to start a thread arguing for/against the present cost of the Monolith?

no offense taken. I agree, that for the points you get a great vehicle, i just wondered if it had any effect on the cost of the model. There are many times that I think the developers are on glue when they cost something out or design a unit.
