If I create my own craftworld, can I use Eldrad Urthran? Or can I just create my own guy(Same stats, different name)?

    No, and no.
If a tree falls in the forest, and it lands on a mime, does anyone care?

You can still use him with Ulthew (for a while at least) but you could NEVER use him with any other craftworld. Same with any character.

    What a load of rot,

    1. He disperesed his spirit - read the write ups of EOT
    2. If you use your own craftworld but use Uthwe rules there would be no reason why you could not use Eldrad -If your oponent objects tell him it is just a different colour scheme. This will be entirely acceptable in any official game that premits the use of Special characters. Be careful though because your opponent has to give his permision anyway

Okay, that is my major tick-off button.

Why is it so hard for people to accept that what you paint your miniatures as is what they are!? If you paint them like Biel-Tan, then it's Biel-Tan. The painting is there to identify the miniatures, not to look pretty.

Absolutley not, the point of WYSIWYG refers to the presence of equipment not its colour. the colour used is a matter of discresion - dont get me wrong, I would not do what this guys is suggesting, but I do recognise it is a personnal choice and is not breaking any rules

The colour scheme of an army is irrelevant, it is the rules the army uses that is important. Creating a special character with Eldrad's stats is alittle...well...cheesey. If you use the Ulthwe rules then yes you could use him with your opponent's permission but if you use other rules don't create an Eldrad clone just so you'll be able to use him.

Absolutley,m the assumption is the guy is using ulthwe rules for his army, there is no reason why the standard approach to using Eldrad does not apply (i.e. opponents permision) regardless of colour scheme
