Welcome to Librarium Online!
my friend just convinced me to start playing with him and i decided i wanna play tyranids but i cant figure out where i get the biomorphs so their visible.... or do i have to make them?
Just about all the biomorphs are represented by little things on the tyranid sprues:
There are a few however, like scuttlers and leaping/winged for warriors, you'll have to convert those yourself.
There are no right or wrong places to put biomorphs but there are several traditional places such as the arms for TS and AG go on the back of your beastie. You can do some cool conversions for acid maw for which there are no set morphs in the box (except on the carnifex head sprue) and implant attack requires you to look for a barbed tail or tongue.

i just wished they would have wings for the hive tyrant and/ or warrior. FInding and converting wings is a pain.
They most recently came out with wings for warriors on forgeworld (and they have winged HT's there as well). I just wish they didnt take an arm spot, if i got them id probably shave them down and put them on the back.
However, making my Hive Tyrant Wings was probably the most fun and rewarding (and only) conversion i have really done. For each wing i took two montrous creature talons, cut one up and glued it on top of the other one, then took a warrior scything talon followed by a gaunt scything talon. In between each set of talons i filled with green stuff, and after a half hour of drying i took scissors and poked some holes into the green stuff for battle damage. Looks awesome and very nid like
While alot of the biomorphs come on the sprues, some u have to convert yourself. I love it because nids are so customizable (compared to my pewter valhallans)
I must agree. With biomorphs, there isn't one designated spot for it. Now if your looking for wings to put on a tyrant, I used the bloodthirster's wings. That way, in GT he is still playable because they have to be 40k parts. Leaping you can put them in a stance that looks like that or even use the clears bases and kinda have them jumping through the air.
Drazidaw: They're supposed to take an "arm spot", if you read the fluff (and look at the models) you'll notice that ALL tyranids have 6 limbs.
All that aside, a lot of people use the plastic dragon wings for their tyrants, as plastic is easy to convert.
Personally I have been looking around for suitable wings for warriors, I've seen some people use gargoyle wings, but they look way way too small. Seeing as this is a thread for advice on biomorphs... does anyone have any ideas?
Firstly, are you seriously taking winged Warriors. Are you sure Garg wings are too small, they are pricey, but you may try extending them. Try the rocket warrior, may be a pain, but cheaper and easier.
