Hey, i was wondering if anyone has IAV 3 and/or any of the new forgeworld XV89 battlesuits.
And if you do....
can you tell me (without breaking copyright) what the heavier armour does and how many extra points they cost.
An example would be to say that they have "+1 Sv or better T" and say "they cost 15pts more base than a normal XV8" Something like that that lets me know w/o breaking copyright.
Or even better, just IM me the stat lines
I am interested in getting some and IAV3 but that is quite an investment so i wanna make sure,
I think asking for copyrighted info here is against the forum RoE, but if I had to guess (I do not have nor have I ever read IA3), I'd guess it gave the suit a 2+ save same as a Broadside, which is in keeping with the fact that the new rumored plastic broadsides are built with the same heavier armor and structure as the XV-89 model.
As for points cost, *shrug* you're on your own for that one.
Looking for a 40K group near Tacoma, WA.

Yea dude, there's no way anyone can devulge that sort of info without breaking copyright. I've got the book and yes, it has all three of the new suits in it as well as pages upon pages of juicy Tau goodness. I highly suggest picking it up.Originally Posted by gen.nehring

i have bought the new XV89 Crisis Suit and the XV88-2 Broadside and (although they were hard to glue! PVA works best) i'm just going to use them as normal suits. you never know they may be in the new codex if you wait a few months.
