first u cant have 15 swarms in one squad. I would also bring that immortal squad to ten and bring both destroyers to a max of five, taking points needed out of warriors. A monolith is not a bad idea either.

Fill out the immortals to 10, either drop the lord's VoD or get another one to stay with your warriors. Use 10 scarabs with D fields- they are surprisingly potent.

'Liths are good!!! used one for the first time today. Didn't manage any particularly nasty techniques other than dropping it on top of an enemy tank, then discharging out a maxed unit of warriors into a juicy tau fire warrior squad, taking about a dozen casualties from various units over two turns, and looking damn good.

I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with you there Seto.

The D Lord with both a warscythe and res orb renders him completely useless. Either he can speed away from the troops, kill some characters or tanks, and lose the 40 pts of the res orb, or he can stay with the warriors and lose 40 pts on the D body and warscythe.

    My list:

If you want two lords, which can be a good idea, do this:

1 Lord w/ SoL, GofF, Res Orb to go with your main body of troops

1 Lord w/ SoL, Res Orb, VoD to go with the immortals; teleport around every turn, pump gaus at a large rate and leave the enemy guessing. If the enemy wants to prevent you from doing this, he will have to spread his units out to try to 1 inch your deep strikers, leaving them prime targets for your advancing warriors.

Maybe a few more destroyers- fill out the unit. I'm sure the Toms spyders wouldn't be missed too much.

It also may be worth bunching your warriors slightly more, so that the enemy has to do more to them before making them test for casualties and 1/2 strength, and they are stronger in cc.

That's alright- I'm currently a chaos n00b, and am being shouted at for my contributions.

The VoD/ Immortals tactic can be very useful- I used it to jump my squad to the side of an Ork battle wagon full of people, destroyed it and killed most of the crew (about 282pts), and reduced the rest to footslogging. That also blocked two of his trukks from getting to my warriors.

Then, however, he unloaded the two trukks, some reserves came in, and so I was standing there in the middle of a field with 12 gaunts, 6 tyranid warriors, a 250 point carnifex, and 2 and a half mobs of orks (with many flamers), breathing down my neck.

Even with T5, they cutdown the immortals, but the lord managed to VoD out of there, went back to my warriors, picked up a squad of 18, plonked them behind a Broodlord and retinue, and opened fire. A dozen beefed-up genestealers dropped, leaving the lone Broodlord, in the last turn of the game.
