With the coming of the Black Templar Campaign at my hobby house I was going to defeat the Space Marine players once and for all. The alien forces that the marines were up against were the Tau but as a Guard player I was forced to fight on the marine side. I was about to give up when a fellow player told me I could be the Gue'vesa or humans that joined the Tau Empire. After checking thier statistics I found few options for them and very few wargear, including lasgun, pulse rilfe, pulse carbine, and EMP:w00t: gernades. Is thier something else that my Gue'vesa army can take so i can finally hush the marines bragging of three up saves and maybe even spread some greater good along the way?

I have been toying w/ the idea of making a 500 pt guard army painted the same scheme of my Tau w/ the Tau symbol. They would use guard force org. but fight in the name of the Greater Good.
You could do something like this. They won't have Tau units but you can use IG doctrines to add flavor.
I think these units are just an addition for tau rather than a whole IG sub army. But if you want to try using them as a full army then kudos. It would be a really unique army.
"DICE FOR THE DICE GOD!"
And the almighty Dice God said to his followers "Thou shalt not speak ye words "anything but a one" For thou whoever'st speaketh this blasphemy will be cursed with thy rolls being of one".
Scroll down. Thing is though if you really wanted to use your army as Gue'vesa, they'd need some conversion/kitbashing. Tau sept symbols, wargear, fusion blasters as meltaguns etc. If you just turned up with IG models and tried to claim them as Gue'vesa....that's just wishful thinking.
Myself though I play IG and SM (well armoured company) and I don't see the problem with allying with SM. We are all servants of the Emperor etc and it makes perfect sense fluffwise.
Thanks Addoran for that site it really helped. I am not against the space marines as army only the people at my hobby house that brag and call all other armies losers and it is these people that give the SMs a bad name in my book. I have a few final questions, do I still use the Guard rigid Force Organization, can I still put heavy and special weapons in a squad even if I buy Pulse weapons and can I still use my Guard tanks. If anyone can help me out I would be very appreacitive
As Human Auxiliaries are units for Tau armies you may not use them in IGGY force orgs, and you may not equip them with any weapons other than what is listed in their entry. An army of only Human Aux. is going to be really limited, unless you do some creative modelling.
IMHO you will need to pick one or the other- Straight Imperial Guard or Tau with the Human Aux unit. I personally have no problem with IGs fighting on the Tau side- its not like the IG strengths cancel out the Tau's weaknesses and it is justifiable fluffwise- your IGs would just represent a regiment that recently abandoned its posts and defected to the Tau. This would be fine for a one-off game.
Firstly, TRAITOR OF THE TRUE EMPEROR DIE!!!!!
Thirdly, Become renagade nither serveing Emperor or Chaos power ruled over by an Ex-Commander of planetery Govenor who has trade agreements with the Tau. Tau are attacked ask for aid, senceing you might lose some cash out of this you help them out. No painting Tau marks or converting needed.
Since you can paint and convert your army however you want and write whatever fluff you want for them so long as they still PLAY like Guard, nobody can really stop you from fielding a human army that fights under Tau banners.
Anybody who says otherwise is simply wrong.
In fact, I think it would look very cool. I don't know how well guard would adapt to it, but you might also try building the army to resemble Tau composition-wise.
Looking for a 40K group near Tacoma, WA.

Wow! The blinding hand of the Emporer has a long reach. Thanks STRAYLIGHT for the defense. They are mine and they would play as a standard guard army so I can do as I wish with them. I would probably model them w/ heads from the Fantasy Empire Militia and Fantasy Middinhiemer heads. This would give them beards and unkept hair to make them look like they've been away from the Imperium for a while.
