Just got the book today. Good book. Interesting, it relists units that have any changes at all, including Broadsides, the only change of which is that they can get marker light drone (as can crisis, whee!, Broadside doesn't need it so much) and +10 pt option called "advannced stabilization system". No rules for them, though. (but it's a very big book, I could be missing them)
Could this be the "slow&steady" rule we heard for Broadsides? Maybe it's an upgrade, not a default condition?
The upgrade also takes up a hard point, btw. And Pirhanas look good, real good.
its slow and purposful,i hope it isnt an upgrade and broadside automatically have it
Record as of 26 December for my Static Tau Cadre.
10 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw.
Last game: Victory over Necron in a 600 point "kill em all" that lasted til turn 10 ending with a phase out.
You'll find out what it does in a few months.

This would indicate, btw, that "slow and pruposeful" will indeed be an upgrade, one that takes up a slot, no less. This means no shield generator. 'Course, still be able to get a HW drone controller on the team leader, with shield drones, which should work much better in the new codex. But that'll mean no target locks.
So given that shield drones and/or shield generators are kinda a must, do you want the stabilizers or the target locks?
I also hope slow and purposful comes standard.

Betting they won't, now.
Advanced Stabilization System = Slow and Purposeful. It costs 10 pts, takes up a hardpoint, and cannot be hardwired.
