In my oppinion, I'd go for the immortals...

"Why" I hear you cry...

Because of their firepower, the WBB roll....

And because they look good.

Flayed ones cause i think they make for the coolest conversions, Think a unit of warriors crouching creating a cloak from the skin of a dead bloodthirster with their long fingers
Veni Vidi Variant
I came, I saw, I got a different type of Leman Russ.

The spikey ones go faster.

Since a 'Cron Army needs the interaction of all their units to be truly effective, I'd go for a squad each, favouring no partcular Elite Unit.
IMHO the only real option is between Pariahs and Immortals.

I'd go with Falyed ones, there cheap, have the wbb roll and are decent assaulters who on some accations can only be hit on a 6, gotta love horror. thsi may seem nuts, but in 2000+ point games i use all 30 of mine. I also use Immortals, they have wbb and nice shooty guns. pariahs are good too, the have the immortals weapon built into there warscythes, which is pretty cool, but again they don't have wbb roll, thats there only downside.

Immortals

Moving 6 shooting twice at 2 foot range with a s5 weapon. They have WBB roll. They are Necron, so can be trasported. T5. Only 6 more points than a warrior.

Pariahs.

Moving 6 and only 6. shooting twice at 2 foot range with s5 weapon. No WBB roll. Not a Necron, so can't be transported. S5 T5. 12 More Points than a warrior. Reduced LD to all nearby enemy units. Makes Psyker's take tests. I3 with the best CC Weapon ever.

Flayed Ones

Same point cost as a warrior. A2 I4 cool Horror rules. Deep strike. Infiltrate.

Pariahs are, in my opinion, too expensive for what they do. However, they are good in conjunction with Flayed Ones. FO are awesome, as they can ALWAYS Deep Strike, and theit fear-causing ability works wonders. Immortals, however, are the awesome. I always use mine. Buy many Immortals, they won't let you down! Against Tau and Eldar, a good squad of Immortals can take out entire squads each turn.

Yes but that's only against Seer Councils. Therefore it rarely goes into a take all comers Cron list.

Against S8-9 hits, You lose 15pts on a Warrior and 70/6pts on an Immortal on average since you get WBB.

S6 you lose 15pts on a Warrior again and 56/3 pts on an Immortal
S5 you lose 12pts on a Warrior and 14pts on an Imm
S4 you lose 9pts on a Warrior and 28/3pts on an Imm
S3 you lose 6pts on a Warrior and 28/6pts on an Imm

The clincher for me is that altho they are not far in pts efficiency when it comes to getting hit, an Imm is far better in shooting AND the only way for an opponent to beat Crons is deny the WBB roll.
