Nice paint job but I think you need much more details to make it perfect
I can't honestly say I like the colour scheme, but the lines are very clean and the paint looks pretty smooth.
Burn the land and boil the sea. You can't take the sky from me.
Member of the Canadian Clan, eh.
Mech Tau Cadre: 2000 points, needs paint and magnets.
Paladins of Avalon (SW):-1500 points, needs paint.
I'm not much on baby pink, although it is possible that the colors in real life look different than on my monitor. The lines are nice and clean, which I like. I'm not a big fan of the "tons of drybrushing" method of painting warhammer. In fact, I have sworn a solemn oath not to use any drybrushing on my tau.
One question: Is the railgun glued in that position (pointing down)? If so, why?
Also, some quick hints on taking better digital pictures of small things:
1) move the camera 8-10 inches farther back from the item. See how the text on the PVA label is crystal clear? This is the focus zone. You really just can't focus on something closer than that to the lens (unless you have some kind of crazy expensive macro lens). You can always crop in closer using photoshop or some other image editor on your computer later.
2) choose an uncluttered background. it doesn't have to be fancy, but the extra stuff all around makes it hard to really look at your fig.
3) If possible, take your pictures somewhere with enough indirect light that you don't need the flash. The flash will not only wash out and change the colors, it leaves wierd and unnatural highlights.
Yeah, I would have to say the picture is a bit too blury too saee much if any detail.
In the course of my pic takings, I have found that making the camera use the highest (or largest) picture settings lets you take the picture from a distance (with Macro) and then afterwards use a program like Photoshop to cut out the junk and skrink to a good size. If I were to post the pictures as my camera takes them, then overwhelm even my Resolution, 1280 X 1024.
Althought the lines look clean.
My Miata is exactly the same color.
Have your tau been corrupted by slaanesh?

It's pink and purple. oO Tau things should not be pink and purple.
There once was a Lord named Vlad,
Who's fighting skillz really were mad.
He killed and he maimed,
He spilled blood in Khorne's name.
And the fact that he's legal makes me glad
