Welcome to Librarium Online!
hi i'm new to the forum and i need help building a necron armie.
biggest enemies are the orks, kroot mercenaires, imperial gard, and the Tyranids.
between 500pts and 1500pts.
Right, first thing (other than getting the codex) is to buy the battleforce and a lord.
If you live in the UK you get 4 destroyers, elsewhere I believe its still 3.
Then also buy a warriors squad.
that should give you a total of:-
4 destroyers (buy another one if you only get 3)
about 8 scarab bases.
If you kit the lord out (to 200 points-which may not be a good idea) you can take:-
3 x10 strong warriors squads
5 scarab bases
That comes to a cool 1000 points.
To make it 1500 points really comes down to how you play, but I would definately include a monolith as they are too good to pass up.
Hope this helps.
Alright, well i probably shouldnt be allowed to post on necron army lists and the such, seeing as how much i love destroyers, but whatever.
First of all, what the OUtsider said to buy, buy. thats the start to a great army.
haha you can only have 1 configuration for a 500 point army.
Lord with Res Orb
2x 10 Warriors
thats 500 on the dot.
then for one thousand...
i would go with: well actually, what the outsider said again. because you shouldnt buy models if you dont have to.
ok take the 1000 point list.
buy another box of warriors.
use 2x 10 warriors and 1x 20. You can use the 20 man squad for whatever you feel fit, such as VoD around with the lord, or just providing a solid rain of fire.
then maybe you could get a Tomb spyder for that extra necron survivability.
so far, you have this:
Lord (VoD + Res Orb)
5 scarab bases
then add in a monolith. this brings you to 1435. just add in some unused warriors there.
this will give u a solid, generic necron list. But, if i were you, i wouldnt buy anything after the initial battleforce+ lord+ more warriors, until you proxy some units and find out your play style. Once youve played some 1000 point battles, come back here and ill help you out, along with others of course.
Daemons shall crumble before my might!
Last weekend I actually ran - (2k Points)
3 groups of Destroyers (5 Destroyers in each)
We were doing a 2vs2 random teams, So I ended up on the sided of the Tau, with the Esclation rule in effect. It went extreamly well as the monolith deep striked into their deployment area and proceded to wipe out Dark Eldar infantry.
