    Webway Portal?

I am thinking of getting a small DE force pretty soon and was contemplating a 500pt Wych Cult WWP army. The only problem with this is that I have no idea how to use the WWP effectively. It would seem that my poor old Wych lord has to get all the way to the enemy before being able to effectively summon a WWP. Any advice would be greatly appreciated (on both the WWP and Wych Cults in general).

I wouldn't even think of using a WWP until I hit at least 1500 pts. The old saying goes that if you take one, you better think about taking 2. You've just burned 100 points for the portals. Now you also have to either burn more points on ICs or give them to Sybarites. You then end up hiding those squads for 2 turns so they don't get shot up and chance them running before they get the chance to deploy them.

I field the proverbial "parking lot O' doom" with tons of skimmers so it is physically impossible for me to keep them all out of LOS during setup and first turn.
Looking for a compliment here is like looking for a girlfriend in a cemetary. You know you probably won't like what you dig up, but you'll take it anyway.

Ah, I see. Well, you can now tell that I have absolutely no idea how to go about a DE army. Since the 500pt WWP Wych Cult army is not feasible, I think I'll go with a normal warrior-based force. Can anyone give me any tips?

I wouldn't give up on the wyches just yet.

Try several squads all in raiders. A Close Combat monster of a 500 PT army

Ok, that sounds good. I'll try to make a list but I would like some advice on what stuff to give to my Wych Lord. The DE armoury is very confusing.....

Shadow field for survivability, combat drugs for some extra punch and the option to charge 12", and an agonizer plus splinter pistol are a solid basic equipment. Additonally you can add plasma grenades, haywires, trophy rack and a hell mask.

In a 500 PT match try not to over do it. The shadow field, combat drugs, splinter pistol, plasma grenades (for assualting units in cover) and agoniser should be plenty.

Ok, I have Enemies of the Imperium (which GW is very bad at updating, it doesn't even have the new 'nids codex in it yet!!!) so I will try to whip up a list on that and get it posted. I gotta do something else for a few min then I'll try the list. Thanks for all the advice guys and watch for my list!
