i just finished (maybe) converting my first Dark Lance from a Splinter cannon, and just wanted to see if you all had comments or suggestions, as this is still a test phase, as well as a first shot with GS.
basically i used the dark lance that the scourges are carrying as a guide and went from there.
so here is a SC warrior and a DL warrior (the bad paint is from years ago )
I have a friend who did the same, and I think it looks pretty good.
Why do the survivors remain anonymous -- as if cursed -- while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives.

Looks really good. It would be cool if you were able to prop it on his shoulders but that would be pretty hard to do. Good job.
Thanks! my next goal is to figure out how to make blasters from scratch... i thought about just bitz ordering them (from the ones on incubi) but that's 2$ a pop and i'm cheap... any thoughts?
Hmm, never thought of that, good idea by the way, I think I will do the same
In the Warriors box there are some Splinter rifles without all the blades on. They'd be a very useful start point to make Blasters, as the arm is aleardy in a good position. Essentially if you could the length down by about 20%, and bulk out the barell, you be pretty much there.
I made the mistake of buying metal DLs and Blasters, but of course, the plastic figures won't stand up if you position them in fighting poses - duh!!!! The metal DLs are as nice as the plaster Splinter Cannons, but the Blasters are o.k.
Guess who bought more metal figures for the DLs. Which is a pain because I field alot of Warriors.
I made a blaster with green stuff, im not a great artist but at least i follow the rule " it must be represented in the miniature"
