Welcome to Librarium Online!
I was thinking, a while back, and I'd like your opinion
Why not make Winged warriors with leaping?
First of, there are no rules against it, so it should be ok rules-wise
if you tool em Winged/Leaping with all CC upgrades u'd get something like:
AG (I+WS), Bio-Pl, EC, FH, Leap, TS, Wing, RC, ST
if I'm correct that would cost 59 points, might be able to drop the bio-pl although an extra cc attack is nice for these.
so at 177 points u'd have a working unit, that, depending on missions and setup, might be able to make it into CC first turn! (seeing as how there usually is 24" between deployment zones, if not u'll be able to move far out in cover some where, and come right back to finish the job in turn 2 for sure.
I'm just wondering is it worth the cost, it will be a crack on opponents pscychology, being CC with nids maybe in turn 1, and warriors can dish some damage... or take fire for the rest of the swarm since they'd become primary targets

Yep, Winged warriors with wings should be fine.Originally Posted by necroidthing

Because the "wings" rules on page 33 of the codex explicitly state that winged bugs cannot have the leaping biomorph.
