One of the local GW staff here in Frankfurt did a really cool conversion of a Necron Wraith Lord with a warscythe.
He used the standard Destroyer Lord upper body and the lower tail/body of a Wraith, I am not sure if he also used some of the upper tail/body of the Wraith or not. It does not look that bad and you get enough pieces for an extra Destroyer in the process.
He still calls it a Necron Destroyer Lord.
thats exactly what i am doing :w00t: . Any chance of getting some pics to help. I want to do something with the "tail" and cant think what. maybe wrapped around a tree... or a marine :w00t: .
You may already know me, you may have met my followers, i am Allah.
There are some conversions in the latest White Dwarf which are similar to this. Thats right! Necrons actually got 3 pages in a White Dwarf!
It's a pretty simple conversion- the bits go together fairly nicely and the wraiths tail can be easilt sliced at one of the segment joins. I'd probably have it slightly curled (curling will be the hardest part) around a broken pillar or ruin- a tree would be to tree-hugging for a necron, IMO. Destroyer lords with warscythes and a phylactery are savage.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
