A simple question, I think.
Can I field a Warlock without a Farseer?
I want to put a Warlock with my squad of 5 Wraithguard, but don't have the points for a Farseer. You see my HQ is the Avatar, which is my best painted figure so I don't want to leave him out.
Thanks for any help.
in order to play warlocks you must haev a farseer as they are a part of his bodyguard and are removed from the bodyguard and distributed from the unit.
spambot kill tally: 79
[16:19] <@Alzer> Arky's right though
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> I know he is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> He usually is.
[16:20] <@Kaiser-> Sometimes it's intentional.
[00:01] <+zubus> i love you, ya skirt wearin nothern monkey! ^_^
I thought so.
But can I take a Farseer and as an independant character attach him (her?) to the squad of Wraithguard so to avoid wraithsight?
If so, I assume that the best psychic power would be Guide, so as to make those wraithcannons even more devestating.
I hope I'm right now as I have just fitted the above into my 1500 point army.
Wraithguard led by a farseer do not have to worry about wraithsight that right. for the psychic power id go for fortune just to make a ridiculously hard little unit. btw, are you footslogging the guard or putting them in a serpent?
Everyone makes mistakes. mine was to leave her head in the fridge.
Thanks for the advice.
I'm afraid there foot slogging it as my serpent is filled with 10 Banshees and I cannot afford another one as I have two falcons in my war host with 6 Fire Dragons in one and 6 Scorpions in the other.
However, just to make the Wraithguard a super unit I could equip the Farseer with Guide and Fortune, using Fortune until I get into firing position and Guide when firing.
That should ensure some damage :w00t:
versing tau is it worth it slogging wrathguard they are expensive slow and short ranged. there toughness 5 is good and fortune makes them better but tau will just keep running. get in CC with tau banshees and even scorpions tear them apart u could but squad of 6 in the two falcons of banshees and wrathguard in wave serpant as much as tau have good weapons they only have i good anti tank the rail gun but that is useless against holo field and energy field and glance when skimmers move 6" so remember to move.
