For the same cost you can get a Falcon, which has the pulse laser
or a Bright Lance equiped Wraithlord
Which is better or which is better in which case?

2 completely different units with different roles. In this case, the wraithlord would be much more resiliant and the falcon, much faster, its whatever you need in the army, although the falcon should have holo-field and spirit stones. Then I could say the falcon is better. Without.... probabely the lord, even though it is slow.

I would go for the falcon for serveral reasons:
Wraithlord can be wounded with strength 5 weapons whilst it take at least a strength 7 weapon to deal damage to a falcon.
Falcon is faster, being able to react to threats better than a wraithlord.
Give a few more points on upgrades and the falcon can be more resiliant than the wraithlord.
The falcon has much more firepower, also good against tanks and heavy infantry whilst your wraithlord set-up is good only for tanks. In combat he isn't the greatest either.
Well said Heiromyo. I comepletley agree. The Falcon will come at more pts, but is a better buy. However, it also depends on the rest of your army. Both can be good units - the choice is up to you.
Wraithlord, if you can't afford the upgrades on the Falcon you shouldn't take it. Those are what makes it good. However, it depends on the rest of your army. A Falcon fits into like... every Eldar army out there.
Warhammer Fantasy: Warriors of Chaos, High Elves
Warhammer 40k: Eldar, Space Marines, Orks
I am missing how the Falcon can only be hit by St7+.
Normal upgrades put the Falcon at 210
I'll probably always take one pimped Falcon, but in a 1.5kpt army two is a bit much.
I have not liked the results with weapon batteries so far (web and D-cannon).
So that pretty much leaves naked falcons or BrightLords, I have to save some points for troops especially for BT.

As long as you have a strength 6+ weapon it can damage an armour 12 vehicle.I am missing how the Falcon can only be hit by St7+.
How is it "artifically imbalanced"? My excel spread sheet has one spot for a Heavy Support and 120 pts... I can either take another Bright Lord or a Falcon.

Between a Bright Lance'd Lord and a Falcon with no upgrades, the Wraithlord is a better choice.
