Welcome to Librarium Online!
I’ve always hated the look of the Pariah model, but I like the idea of them. I bought an extra battle force, mostly for the destroyers and now have a boot load of extra warriors. So what to do with them…how about made from scratch Pariahs. Now this idea is not really my own. Part of it comes from the last WhiteDwarf, part of it comes from some models I saw for sale on Ebay. If you just want to see the end product (before paint) just go to the last link on this post. If you want a how to, this is how I did it.
I started by cutting the legs apart at the knee joints. I did this because I wanted to straighten them out. I didn’t want my Pariah squatting like a warrior. I had to reconstruct knee joints with green stuff.
Check it out here:
I decided to use a scarab as the breast plate as demonstrated in the last Whitedwarf. To make it work you have to cut the front legs off the scarab as seen here:
Attach it to the backside of the warrior torso like this:
I hacked part of the standard warrior breast plate off to fill in around the shoulder area. Be careful not to ruin the Necron Symbol we’ll use it later. Check out the cut here and watch your fingers:
Repeat on the other side and put the pieces away for later. Again save the Necron symbol. Carefully cut the excess away from the symbol. Just follow the line that’s already there.
Put the torso on the legs and position to your liking. Again I preferred to have him standing in a more upright position. Next I wanted to bring out some of the Egyptian theme so I constructed a loincloth out of green stuff. Press the Necron Symbol into the top of the loincloth while its still tacky. Check it out here:
I didn’t want my Pariah to look too scrawny so I used Green stuff to beef up the shoulder pads. I did this by rolling out a thin sheet and making an imprint of the existing pad. Then I cut out the impression out and smooth it over the existing pad. Repeat this on the other side. I also wanted his head to sit a little higher so I constructed some extra vertebrea. I did this by rolling out a small tube of green stuff, letting it dry and then carving off three disks of green stuff. I glued them to his neck in a stepped pattern. Glue the head on.
To make the War Scythe you have to get out your modeling knife and start cutting apart the Gauss Flayer. Cut the handle off the Flayer and save the handle, but make sure you save the hand and arm piece. Your going to have to carefully carve the hand off the handle so you can attach it to handle of the War Scythe. Carve the other hand off the stock of the Flayer. You’ll end up cutting the square rod that goes to the barrel of the flayer off. That’s fine. You don’t need it but do save the axe blade. I also cut off the ribbed piece of tubing off the flyer. Save this. Leave the smooth tube connected. For the handle of the Scythe I used a 4D finish nail. Put the halves of the Flayer together and cut out a small opening for the sharp end of the nail to fit into. Glue the loose hand (the one with out the arm attached) just under the flayer pieces. Here’s what it looked like:
Now Glue the arms on in whatever position you want them in. This is tricky because you have to line them up to hold the Scythe. Add the rib pieces saved from earlier and glue them in place just above the second leg removed from the scarab. You might have to file down the back side to get them to fit, depending on the cut you made. Once your happy with the position put the Scythe on. Lastly, roll out a small tube of green stuff. Attach the Axe blade to one end and glue the other to the head of the finish nail/warscythe. To make him look a little different than a warrior I glued the ribbed tube I saved from the flayer to his head.
Here’s what he looks like before paint:
I plan on attaching a green rod on the top of the flayer part. I’ll use the standard warrior barrel piece on the top. I’ll update this post after painting.

How come everybody else on this forum has 400 wins to 2 loses? I smell cheese.... and beef... sandwich!
What was Rogal Dorn doing when the Sanguinius and the Emporer got killed???
Woohoooo I killed the treeman!!! :)
I killed the Glade riders too!!!! :)
awesome conversion work. I love the scarab torso... it looks great. Although I don't care much for the warrior head... it looks kinda silly. But the head is a seperate piece so you could easily substitute another head instead.

Wow! That's nice! Shouldn't it be in the conversion forums?

That's a very nice conversion but this should be in the conversions section.
I just found the conversion section in the forums and your right, that would be a more appropriate place for this. I'd delete the whole thing and repost it there if I could. Maybe a moderator could move it over there? Sorry about the misplacement.
I have only one question? Why make Pariah's at all?
Show me a simple way to convert Warriors to Immortals and I'll be impressed.
I do not criticize. I do not offend. All I offer is my opinion which means only as much as you make it.
Because Pariahs rock the house y'all.
Hhmmm...but how to make Immortals out of Warriors. I can think of a GS way. Just thicken and widen the shoulder pads on a Warrior so they look like football padding. For the gun, you'd need to shave off the underslung barrel part, modify both ends to hold 2 rods with GS, and then make another end cap out of GS.
Gyauayuayuayua! Ja! Ve vill crush da little girly men in deir little girl men awrmor! Ve vill see owur enemies driven befowur us, und hear da lahmentaytions of deir wemen. Und from owur home planet, de stayte uf Califowurnia, ve vill lawunch owur mighty offensive. Even if you kill us, ve'll be bach!! Gyauayauyauyauyau!

Scarab to the back, and Mod the gun like said above.
The Sholder pads should be made bigger but if you suck as much as I do with GS, you wont bother. The scarab makes them look different enough.

I'd hate to spend that kind of money on something I'll rarely use.
Yes, did take considerably more time to build this pariah than to buy and paint a GW one. But, I'll have a unique unit and I enjoy painting and converting.
The model is finished and I've reposted the finished results in the proper place in the Conversion forum. Check it out here:
