is this raider squad a good way of saving some points? using only 6 men on a raider (1sybrite, 1 cannon, 1 blaster, and 3 warriors) or is it better to have the full 10? i ask this because one of the main reasons for assulting with a raider squad is to get the agoniser wielding sybrite in there.
also, once i disembark the squad, can i choose to only fire the cannon and the blaster from the squad so i can still assult? or to fire those weapons do i have to fire the rapid fire weapos too? (which wont allow me to assult)
You may indeed choose only to fire the assault weapons, so no worries there.
Honestly though, I would pay the extra 32 points to fill out the raider squad, mainly because with the new transport rules, if that raider gets shot down, then a good 2/3 of them will probably die in the explosion, and if you only have 6 warriors in the squad, you'll be left with a sybarite +1 person, pinned on the board for a turn...not good. At least with a full squad of ten you might be left with 3 or 4 warriors if/once the raider is shot down.

What Neferata said. The points cost of the extra warriors is insignificant beside the advantages of having more men in the squad.
